All polishing at Colonnade is carried out on our premises by fully trained staff. This enables us to keep complete control over each finishing stage, which ultimately means we are wholly responsible for the quality of the work that we process. (The buck stops with us!)
Polishing Methods
Hand Polishing:Our polishing staff have huge amounts of experience in all aspects of hand polishing. All varieties of metal are catered for regardless of shape or size.
Vibratory: In certain circumstances large quantities of product can be automatically prepared by means of vibratory polishing. This not only speeds up the production process, but also cuts costs while still maintaining a finish of exceptional quality.
Belt Fed: Flat items such as brackets and switch plates up to 100mm wide can be polished on the conveyor fed machine. Once again this increases the volume of work we are able to process, without compromising on quality.
Centreless: The centreless machine is used for polishing round tube and bar. Lengths up to 4 metres can be finished in a highly polished or ground (satin) finish on items up to 75mm in diameter.
Flat Bed: This machine is used for applying a ground (satin) finish to large flat plates. Stainless, brass or mild steel can be processed up to a width of 1000mm.
